Since September 21, about 98,000 Russian citizens have entered Kazakhstan. Such data, as reported by Interfax-Kazakhstan, was provided by Aslan Atalykov, Acting Chairman of the Committee of the Migration Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Republic. 98,000 Russians have entered Kazakhstan since September 21, 64,234 Russians have left,— said a representative of the Ministry of Internal Affairs.

Altykov specified that a little more than 8 thousand non-residents received an individual identification number (IIN), which is needed to apply to government agencies, open accounts and other operations.

The day before, a representative of the migration service said that many Russians use Kazakhstan as a transit country for relocation to Kyrgyzstan and Uzbekistan. “In these last September days alone, more than 40 thousand citizens of the Russian Federation left Kazakhstan,” — he said then.

Altykov also spoke about the queues for entry into Kazakhstan from Russia. “We don’t have any concentrations on the Kazakh side. All these queues are really kilometer long, the waits are long. But this is primarily from the side of the borders of the Russian Federation, because, as far as I know, the verification procedure at their checkpoints takes a little longer, — he said.

The Migration Service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Kazakhstan reminded citizens that hosts from the Kazakh side are required to notify foreigners about the arrival.

For legal entities, a fine of ten to 25 monthly calculation indices is provided, and in case of repeated violation & mdash; up to 100 monthly calculation indices, which is equivalent to 306 thousand tenge (about 37 thousand rubles— RBC)»,— stated in the appeal.

The authorities recalled three ways to register visiting foreigners, including through the application.

Earlier, President of Kazakhstan Kassym-Jomart Tokayev said that will hold talks with Russia on the influx of Russians.

“In recent days, many people from Russia have been coming to us. Most of them are forced to leave because of the current hopeless situation. We must take care of them and ensure their safety. This is a political and humanitarian issue. <…> We will hold talks with the Russian side and will solve this problem in the interests of our country, — said the head of the republic.

Tokayev also noted that Kazakhstan should show humanity, patience and organization. “We have no crisis, no panic. Assistance will be provided to visitors from abroad, but they will not receive any preferences, — he clarified.
