The mission of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) to the territory of the Zaporozhye nuclear power plant may take place in the next few days, if the negotiation process is successful. This was announced by IAEA Director General Rafael Grossi.
According to him, he continues to consult with all parties so that the extremely important mission takes place without further delay.
Grossi noted that the presence of agency employees will assistance in stabilizing the situation with nuclear safety and reduce the risk of a possible accident at a nuclear power plant.
The CEO had previously made a statement that he was ready to personally lead the mission.
Earlier, French Foreign Minister Catherine Colonna held a telephone conversation with Russian Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov, during which the parties discussed sending an IAEA mission to ZNPP. The ministry noted that they received Russia's consent to send a mission to the territory of the nuclear power plant in Energodar.
