The Russian Ministry of Defense plans to use the experience gained in the Chechen Republic in the construction of military installations and the training of servicemen. This was announced by the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov after a meeting with Deputy Defense Minister Timur Ivanov.
“In Grozny, we had a fruitful dialogue with Timur Vadimovich. The guest highly appreciated our work. During the conversation, we discussed in detail the measures being taken to train troops, as well as issues of their deployment. Timur Ivanov noted that the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation plans to use the experience gained in the Chechen Republic in the construction and training of military personnel, — wrote Kadyrov in his telegram channel.
After the start of the military special operation in Ukraine, Kadyrov repeatedly reported sending Chechen volunteers to the combat zone. For the last time, on September 7, he announced the dispatch of fighters from the Sever regiment to the front. and the battalion “South”. “Chechen fighters, among whom are the owners of maroon berets, are determined to fight the Ukronazis. For most of them, this is far from the first shipment to the Donbass,— he wrote in the “Telegram”.
In June, the head of Chechnya announced that in the near future four battalions would be formed in the republic, which would consist exclusively of Chechens. These battalions will replenish the composition of the troops of the Ministry of Defense and will receive the names “North-Akhmat”, “South-Akhmat”, “West-Akhmat” and “Vostok-Akhmat”. Kadyrov explained the decision to form new subdivisions with the “extremely patriotic mood among the youth of the region.”
On September 15, he also suggested that each region collect 1,000 volunteers to participate in a special operation. According to Kadyrov, governors should not wait for the Kremlin to declare martial law or “sit out waiting for the end” special operations in Ukraine. Assistance to the state from the regions should not be expressed in verbal speeches or car races, but in concrete actions, the head of Chechnya believes.
The Kremlin has repeatedly ruled out the introduction of martial law and the announcement of mobilization. In July, the Ministry of Defense stated that only a part of the Armed Forces was participating in the operation in Ukraine, and their numbers would be enough to complete the tasks.
